The Smiley Face
September 20, 2010To be able to draw and label the various parts of the cell, please follow the following steps:
1- On a piece of paper draw a smiley face as the image below demonstrates:
2- Draw some wrinkles
3- Draw the teeth
4- Pretend that this person has some freckles and small moles
5- Draw two big moles on the face
6- Put a big mole on the nose
7- Pretend that the person has some old scars on face due to previous injuries, two or more on the nose and a few on the face
8- Now make some modifications to the eyes by drawing the letter S on one of them and the letter M on the other
9- Now put some dots on the mouth and draw a few lines around the mouth
10- Draw some straight lines on the face
11- Now put some hair on the head and draw a beard
12- Draw a moustache on the face

Now label the diagram as follows:
The face is the cytoplasm.
The outer border of the circle is the cytoplasmic membrane.
One of the eyes is a mitochondrion.
The other eye is Golgi apparatus.
The nose is the nucleus, the black circle on the nose is the nucleolus, and the scars are the chromosomes.
The moustache, teeth and the mouth are E.R.
The freckles are ribosomes.
The big moles on the face are lysosomes.
The wrinkles and the scars on the face are the cytoskeletons: microfilaments and microtubules.
The hairs are cilia.
